    Hey guys,

For some reason, Vista is not indexing some of my songs. They are all MP3s that are the ones that are not working. I haven't seen any problems with other file types, such as jpeg, gif, or word documents, what have you. My indexing settings are set to index the Music Folder (where these songs are stored), and it does index most of them. There's just some of them that it won't find, no matter how I open it. I even checked the indexing settings, and it said "Indexing Complete." It's not a time issue either, because I just created a new word document and within minutes it came up as being indexed. But the songs which I have had for weeks aren't showing up anyhow. Mainly, I just type it in the start menu (that's how I search for stuff now...). I even did an advanced search in the regular search place in Vista, and it doesn't find it. For some reason it just skips over it.

    Does anyone have any advice???

    Thanks!

Interesting, i'm not sure if it's the same problem but it sounds similar to the problem my Vista Home Premium has with .mov files (all my mp3 files are indexed fine btw). Windows Explorer even crashes when i try to move or delete the files so i can't do anything with them, except them open with Quicktime strange enough. I also checked and double checked my indexing settings and they seem to be fine. I just figured it was a problem with Vista and hope that SP1 will fix it, but then again, what if it won't..?
