I have a couple of questions about vista for fellow members. Overall i like vista way better than xp, but there are a couple of features that are pissing me off to say the least.

How do i get rid of the bs pop up messages that i always get when i try to run certain programs... for some reason it keeps asking for Access and i have to press "allow" for the program to run. Whats even WORSE is that my computer never remembers what my choices were, meaning each time i get this pop up message. Whats even more annoying i need to run some programs as administrator (meaning i need to right click then left click instead of just double click which is damn stupid). So my question is how do i disable this junk ?

This service is called UAC; its a security feature that freezes a process that is about to make system changes so that the user (the admin) can authorize whatever change is being made.

To turn it off, go to Start> Control Panel> User Accounts> "Turn user account control on or off"

    Alternately, Start/Click the picture/Turn UAC off/Restart

The UAC isn't a bad thing; if your computer gets infected with some type of virus or something, it'll block access unless you approve it. It doesn't seem to big of a hassle, really, for me.

It is a security feature. You'll encounter it a lot during initial installation and customization. I hardly encounter the prompt these days. It is not wise to turn of this feature.

To always run a program as administrator, right-click the executable > Properties. In Compatibility tab, go to Privilege Level and check "Run this program as an administrator". Click Apply and OK. Next time you can just double-click to run it as an administrator.
