When I get my Dell Inspiron 1501, I'm planning on setting it up so I have 3 partitions: one for Vista and games, one for Ubuntu Linux, and one for common data. But I'm somewhat confused about what Dell does with its recovery system.

First of all: will buying from the Dell Outlet get me an actual recovery disc? Or does it just have a recovery partition? Is there a way I can get a recovery disc from Dell without paying the huge fees of paying for Vista?

And is the disc we can get from Dell one that will give a fresh install, or will it be another recovery install that gives a lot of crapware? If I used this disc to install Vista when I had Linux on one partition, can I choose to install Vista to the original Vista partition, or will it take up everything?
