It's already out. I have it installed on my machine.
-
I thought it was only out officially for x64 machines?
-
it will be available through Windows Update some time in March. And yes, it is already out, you can download it from some sources, but there are still some drivers issues with it, that's why it is not available through Windows Update.
-
I thought SP1 RC was out, and that SP1 for Vista is yet to be released proper.
-
-
There was a thread not too long ago i believe taht said you could get it for x64 through windows update, and there was also an article on it from endgadget
-
hmm in the case of there being drivers issue, Ill wait till the official release date. Limewire wont even connect
-
anyone know of a download link for the betas? i downloaded it before but i cant find anything now.
-
There is a whole thread about this on the Windows OS board.
-
Just wait till its official. Else you will get a product that is not ready for the public and complain its broken and doesn't work right...
-
Well there is Official Link where we can download the SP1 Officially from Microsoft.com site ... i can give u the link if i am allowed
-
I downloaded DVD image and it got both 32 bit and 64 bit SP1 with one Setup file. I installed and have no problem what so ever.
-
Are there any other ways to get the Windows Vista SP1 RTM Full DVD (Integrated) ISO besides torrent? I need sp1 because I constatly get blue screens and hope that this update will fix that. I cannot get it from MSDN or Technet because I am not a suscriber, I tried connect with no luck, and I'm too impatient to wait till March 18

Download Official Windows Vista SP1 (x86 and x64) from OEM Partner Center
Windows Vista SP1 Download
The Windows Vista SP1 download contains five languages: English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. Additional languages will be available soon.
Download Windows Vista SP1.
Extracting a Language .exe File
Once you download the Windows Vista SP1 package, you will need to extract the appropriate .exe file for the language you wish to install.
1. Download Windows Vista SP1. The file will be in .img format.
2. Use a third party DVD authoring software to burn the .img file to a DVD.
3. Select the appropriate .exe file(s) in the language(s) you need to install and copy from the DVD to your destination computer.
4. Follow the instructions in the step-by-step guide for upgrading your existing system image(s) to Windows Vista SP1.
Note : Registration is Necessary -
No need for a new ISO. A simple regedit will make the final version of SP1 appear in WU and update.
-
thanks vinusmv, but I am not an oem partner.
. Disregard what I just said. I just got it
pipdipchip really? but I want the integrated DVD so if i have to reinstall windows I don't have to install sp1 all over agan. -
-
Your getting Blue screens how you know SP1 going to correct this problem?
-
Yea and also SlipStreaming SP1 into RTM DVD is tedious job too
-
I have installed in on my 2 Vista machines. I haven't noticed any difference
-
I have it too for x64 Vista. Feels no different. Of course, my x64 instance is rock solid, even when I am playing UT2004 on it.
-
UT3 ftw -
Haha, come on now, I like it!
