I went into msconfig to disable some programs from running at startup. Now every time I start Windows, I get a warning from the taskbar telling me that "Windows has disabled some startup programs" and that I can click the box to enable the programs. I know! I did that on purpose!
But I can't figure out how to keep that message from popping up. It's not hurting anything necessarily, but it's mega-annoying. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Back in the XP days, there was an area that you could tick a box on that message itself so it stops appearing. MS assumes that the msconfig file was inadvertently changed. I think its a safety feature for people who don't know what they are doing.

Each time I saw that message, I did as the program asked and opened msconfig. In my case, I noticed some programs that I disabled awhile ago...but the check marks are still there. I uncheck and reboot. Message disappears. Not only your startup programs...but check for things you may have shut off in yoiur services. It seems to be a finder of mistakes. Took me a few times to figure it out
