I'm following these instructions here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=3314842&postcount=1291

The first step is to insert MediaDirect 3.3. Mine came with MediaDirect 4.0, so I insert it, and do the F12 boot, and select read from CD. Then the computer would just continue on to starting Vista...

On the Studio 15, with MediaDirect 4.0, am I suppose to just boot it up with Vista?

    Thanks

MD 4 doesn't have a seperate boot OS like Media Direct 3.X

As a result, you don't need to try booting from the disk to setup its partitions.

On the screen where it asks "Where do I want to install Windows", I have the option of formatting both discs. Could I format them to free up soem space?

I also could not find the AHCI driver...I tried looking into the driver section on Dell.com and it doesn't say AHCI anywhere

This is my first time ever doing something like this, as you can tell. haha
