So basically, I clean installed vista then put driver nvidia 162.18 on it (from laptopvideo2go.com) , and after I go to sleep, wake back up, then try to shutdown:
The "Windows is shutting down" thing comes up
hard drive does its last minute syncs.
then it just keeps spinning the vista busy ring.
does anybody know what I did wrong?
(BTW: tried the dell nvidia driver, works perfectly...but i don't want that...
163.44 doesn't work)
if anybody did a clean install of vista then used a driver other than dell's, plz tell me what you did...
thanks guys
I could always ditch sleep, but its useful, or I could go back to Dell's crap drivers.![]()

I used to experience this when I had the Toshiba BT drivers installed.
Just throwing ideas.
