I just reformatted a Latitude D400 and put Vista on it, but then discovered that there are no drivers for it offered at Dell's website. Has anyone else put Vista on one of these machines and if so what did you do about drivers?

Search each individual manufacturer for drivers for Vista. e.g. Look at intel's website for video drivers for vista, and use the default vista drivers for everything else - they should work flawlessly. The video driver loaded by vista in fact should work for the D400, it should find the correct driver I believe, rather than load a default VGA one. Else, try windows update - it often provides working drivers if not the latest ones...hope that helps..
