    Hi,

Dell is having problem finding the guide to reinstalling Vista on a Dell XPS 1330.
"You can do a google search" chat guy says.

I recall seeing guide to reinstall but can't find it.

The order of reinstallation is something like: chipset, video, audio, wifi, drivers, then Windows updates.

Can you please help? This is second reinstall and addition of Nvidia and a few other drivers is creating Blue screen of death.

odd, didnt realised it was such a pain to reinstall vista...

i just loaded vista... installed all the dell drivers chipset first, then the video card drives... not sure the rest really mattered. then popped on SP1 then started a windows update.

at what point do u get the BSOD? after which install?

thanks for the help. i looked at that sticky but more intested in just a clean install without any of the dell MEDIADIRECT stuff. I saw a detailed step-by-step guide in one of the threads the other day.

I'd leave MD alone, there are reports that it screws up your MBR if you ever push the MD button and the MD partition is nowhere to be found.
