    I have a Dell Latitude D610.

This may be a silly question, but I used to get a little volume control bar on my screen when I was adjusting the volume using the buttons on my keyboard. For example, when you are adjusting the volume on your TV, you get a little bar at the bottom telling you the volume level, that's what I'm talking about. Well, it's gone now, and I've gone through everything I can think of to get it back, so if anyone knows what I'm talking about or has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. It's not really a big deal, but I liked having it!

    Thanks!

Do you have Dell Quickset installed and running? This is what makes those bars show on my M1210, so I think it should be the same for your Latitude.

Thanks! It's always the most obvious solutions that elude me! Now that I think about it, when I brought this up with someone else, they suggested that! I have Dell Quickset, but it just wasn't running!
