Vosotro 14.1 pushed back once again

I ordered July 10th, estimated ship date was July 31st, they pushed back to August 7th, this happen to anyone else. Arrival state would be August 11-12. Is it just me or is a 31 day wait excessive?

 

called again, my order will ship in about 2 days and they gave me free next-day shipping and a 50 dollar coupon. Im satisfied

 

but see you don't know if they'll actually ship it within two days. they got you off the phone, though.

 

YESTERDAY they told me that it would ship today. Today I get an email saying it is delayed another 27 days (until 8/28)

Im so mad at dell I could spit.

 

Well the shipping carrier already has mine, if it didnt i wouldve *****ed for a RAM ugprade or something, so it should get to me in around 2-3 days

 

I ordered my Vostro 1400 with XGA screen on the 17th and it's been in build since then.. Guessing it will probably be pushed back in a few days as well..

 

just out of curiousity... who do you call when you want to complain about the delay? and did you ask for compensation or they just give it to you?

 

I asked and I fronted like I had a big small business that needed to buy in bulk down the road so i got a great deal on bulk notebooks, which i dont need so instead i just asked for a coupon, max they could give is 50 bucks.

I dont feel like finding the number right now, as I am a bit buzzed atm (no work tomorrow), ill get it for you tomorrow if I remember

(i first called sales they couldnt do **** for me, transfered to customer care)

 

oo, so i have to call the customer care and tell them that i really need the laptop and they will give me some sort of compensation? lol

 

I was shocked to hear my 1400 with XGA screen went into boxing today. I guess the screens are now off backorder.

 

They must have gotten a massive shippment to wipe out the backlog.
