Other Dell laptops seem to be covered when you travel internationally but only if you have the three year warranty and next-day on site.

The Vostros are so new that they aren't mentioned on the international service pages of Dell.

I tried calling, but got stuck with some guy in sales who knew almost nothing, and then disconnected me when he went to check something (he told me all I needed was on-site, and not the three year...I asked him if there was a way to email this to me, and then the disconnect.)

    Does anyone know for sure?

Is there anyway to get an official answer from Dell in writing? I tried contacting them using a form on their website. I was appalled when they sent back an email saying they were not going to answer my question...here's what I got:

Ummm...hello Dell? If you weren't going to answer my question automatically, you should have used JavaScript to tell me this ahead of time.

    Okay...I'm done venting.
