I got this small business flyer in the mail and it talks about this new small business line called Vostro. They look like the inspiron line, except that they are completely black, and seem to be budget laptops for small business. Apparently they will come with no trial software or bloatware. I havent found anything on the canadian del website, however, does anyone else know about this new line?? They seem like good computers.

Yeap, I saw the flyers as well. Pretty much Vostro are low end notebooks/desktops that are fully painted black and can be 'without software and bloatware'. The prices are decent, starting from $599 Canadian for the 14" 1420.

Considering it's the same notebooks as the regular Inspirion line, just painted different and with software differences, I don't know why it would not be called a budget notebook.

It's like painting a Civic blue and calling it an Accord, when it's still a Civic in the end.

The Vostro strangely looks quite more attractive than the multicolored Inspirons :D.

Looks great, can't wait to see it comes out.

Extremely doubtful they'll replace the Latitudes - the new Santa Rosa refresh Latitudes were released relatively recently - I'd imagine as many have said, this is just the budget business line.

The info I received about 15 minutes ago was that Dell is releasing a complete line of flash-based laptops tomorrow (no regular HDs at all)

Maybe that is a subset of the vostro line? I dunno.
