This might sound a dumb question, but
when ordering a dell vostro 1310, they ask for your company
    and that's a mandatory field.
I gave "none" and was able to place the order, but
I am worried if this will cause any problems with warranty or
anything in the future.. any idea?

No. Dell doesn't really care. Though you get -1 for lack of creativity.

Yeah the vostros are meant for small office/home office. I didnt have to fill in a company name to get mine and everything worked out great. But yeah you should have made up a name or something for fun.

The best thing to do is put in your name.

Agreed. When you contact Dell for support, they will ask for the business name. Saying that the business name is "none" may raise a few overzealous eyebrows. ;)
