Did a clean install. Installed Ultimate over Basic Vista. Left recovery partition in but if I leace it there will it still kick back to the base as shipped system?

Is a Dell "revovery" CD inclusive of the Vista OS (in my case Vista Basic)?
Meaning if I have the disk I can nuke the recover paition and get more space? If so, use Vista patition manager to do so?

Also got no sound. Is Sigmatel the default driver to download and install?

In what order should I install new drivers and which ones? Downloaded most of them but have not installed. Get conflicting information from the boards on for example where Intel Matrix Strorage driver is necessary. Board says yes and install first. Dell says its "optional." Would have thought the Intel Chipset Drivers, LAN, WIFI, and Nvidia are most critical too. Thanks in advance!
