I just got my Vostro 1400 (in a mere 10 days or so after I ordered it). I have a few questions concerning the WXGA+ display:

    - How can I check the make of the display? I tried checking the Device Manager and couldn't find it (I hope it's that good LG one everyone is talking about).
    - The colours seem somewhat washed-out, even on max screen brightness. Is this normal?
    - The viewing angles seem somewhat poor, even for a notebook display (keep in mind this is TrueLife, and should boast better viewing angles than matte displays).

The only plus-side: there seems to be no "graininess" problems at all, although I don't exactly know what to look for, since this is my first laptop purchase ever.

    Any input would be appreciated.

Do a search. It has been described many times how to check the display type.
