    Hey,

Sometimes, when I bring back my Vostro 1400 from Sleep, the resolution will change itself to the minimum. It doesn't always happen. I've tried to, but I can't really pinpoint what's causing it to happen...

Anyone have this problem? Anyone know the fix?

I think it happened on my new M1330 on its first time booted up, but I haven't checked recently as I don't often use standby.

This happens on all laptops I've tried, both my M1330 and Vostro 1400, Latitude D420, Panasonic Toughbook. This seems to me is a bug in Vista. Quick fix - close the screen and reopen it. Of course make sure you set close screen action to do nothing so it doesn't shut off on you. This is way easier than to manually adjust your resolution again.

While you're at it, turn off TMM from your task scheduler - control panel/admin tools/task scheduler/task library/microsoft/windows/mobilepc/tmm

This alone makes this bug happen less frequently, and it makes your laptop wake up instantly without that 3-4 second flickering on your screen. But yes I still see it happen very occasionally.

BTW, I ONLY use sleep. I never shut off any of my computers.

First time posting on here, so hopefully this hasn't been brought up before. I was doing some minor adjustments to Vista, one of which was disabling TMM. I had constant screen res changes on my 1420, but I haven't had any for the past few days since I disabled TMM. I don't know if I'm on a good streak of the res not changing, but it seems to have possibly fixed the problem. I don't know if others have tried it, but if you're bothered by the constant screen res changes, you might give it a shot to see if it helps.
