    Vostro 1400 DVD-RW strange clicking/beeping

    Hi All!
    I just got my vostro around 6 hours ago and there is an odd clicking/scratching sound around the dvd (PBDS DVD+-RW DS-8W1P) area (right side of the laptop). It occurs with or without a cd in the drive and the interval between the sounds and their length is totally random. What should I do regarding this?
    Secondly when I insert a disc into the drive it makes a couple of beeping noises before reading the disc, is this normal?
    I am thinking of just asking for a replacement from dell...
