    Vostro 1400 Questions Can you help?

    1) come with a recovery CD or DVD? If not can I burn one from a seceret partition? Do they charge if I ask them to mail me one?
    2) Vostro has a 30 day return policy (from date of shipping or invoice?) rather than the standard Dell 21 days?

    1) mine didn't; no, you can't burn it from the partition; they will mail it to you free of charge if requested
    2) I heard it was from date of invoice

    Edit: When I said "mine" i meant my e1705 which I have sold. I am waiting to get the 1420.

    My Vostro 1400 came with a OS restore CD, MediaDirect restore CD, and a driver/program CD. There's also a partition on the hard disk which you can restore from if need be.

    Vostro has a 30 day return policy, but I don't know when it begins.

    That said, the Vostro 1400 is a great machine. I'm very happy with mine.

    Every new dell machine should come with a reinstall windows dvd/cd.

    And I believe it's on invoice.
