    Hi all,
    I have a new 1400 which I love, but I do have a question.
I have a CMO 1280 X 800 matte screen and the Intel graphics card. The screen is fantastic, but I have noticed that when I'm using the notebook plugged in, and then unplug it to use battery power, the screen colors become washed out. It looks as though I adjust the gamma setting higher. I do realize that the brightness should dim, and I have it set up as such so I can save battery when unplugged. It does dim as it should, however, the colors go bezerk for a few seconds, and then return to normal. This doesn't happen all the time, but I can find no pattern to it. Also, it may happen every now and then when switching between different windows or webpages. This is never an issue when plugged in. I don't know if as the battery gets lower, windows tries to save power and the vid card makes adjustments, etc, or what. Any suggestions??
    Anybody else have this issue??

I have found a setting in the video card properties that may have fixed the problem. In the power settings tab which is located in the display settings of the graphics properties, the default setting was maximum battery under the power saving technology. You can slide it to maximum quality or uncheck the power saving technology box all together. This is what I have done, and have not experienced any other color changing issues. Battery life seems to be unchanged as I have the screen turned down from max brightness anyway.
