I just did a clean install of Vista Premium and when installing the drivers for the integrated webcam, i get an error message and asks me to restart the computer. i checked device manager and i dont even see the webcam listed anywhere. has anybody else had problems reinstalling the webcam drivers on the vostro 1400?

    Hi!

Have you tested the cam with the original delivered installation of vista?
    Tried Hardware Search already?

I have trouble witch the webcam too. But I can see the Webcam in the device manager. and as far as i can tell it has no errors. Only wenn starting the dell webcam manager the livescreen stays black and wenn trying to take a picture I get the Message: Reconnect Webcam and try again.
I've tried both dell and microsoft drivers. don't know what to do else.

    Ideas anyone?

    Cheers
