I recently bought a Vostro 1400 with XP Pro. A few days ago I ran the File Transfer Wizard to move everything from my old computer to my new computer. I've done this in the past with no problems. This time, i'm having issues with the keyboard speed - I'm typing much faster than the machine can display the characters. Usually, I have to stop and let the display catch up to where I am.

I tried running System Restore to a point before I did the File Transfer but each time I get a message saying 'Restoration Incomplete'. I've used every restore point in the system and I can't get it to restore. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? I don't want to run the system disks and reinstall everything on this machine.

    Thanks,

    C

Did you make restore discs? If not, get them from Dell.
