Hi everyone, I couldn't find much information on the forum about what the probable battery life would be on the Vostro 1400 and 1500, and it looks like nobody has received theirs yet to report their findings.

With the 8400 GS set up on the Vostro 1400, or the 8600 GT set up on the Vostro 1500, what do you think the battery life would be on these two setups running basic programs like ms word with the brightness turned down, wireless turned off, and putting it on some kind of battery saving option?

I've seen a couple of reviews like this one saying it can max out at 8 hours, but that was for the entire line of Vostro laptops. I think it may turn out to be more like the 1520 with about 4 hours if you have the 8600 GT installed. What do you guys think?

with the 9 cell and all wireless turned off, half brightness.

I'd give it 5 hours max.
