    Vostro 1400 blinks when closing to opening

    I am currently the new owner of a Vostro 1400 as of yesterday. I am content and happy with everything. One weird thing that happens is that whenever I close the lid and open it, it flashes black. The mouse pointer is still there, but that black flash is making me a bit weary. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks a lot!
