I've had my Vostro 1400 since the line first came out a few months ago and for the most part it works great. The only problem I've had before is the one a lot of people have had where there's some audible interference when listening to headphones.

Today I noticed my laptop making a new sound. It sounds a bit like when the harddrive is accessed, but is softer. It is also sporadic, like harddrive access. It seems to be coming from under the left side of the keyboard, and the best I can describe it is it sounds like there's carbonated soda in there. It almost sounds like the HD running in a softer mode temporarily, but it would be odd for an option for that to have spontaneously turned on.

Anyone else have this? Should I worry?
