    Hi,

I went to dell.ca website for a Vostro 1400. I notice that the widescreen SXGA is not available.
    Someone known why ?

    Thanks

SXGA is a standard aspect-ratio resolution. Vostros come in widescreen formats, which would denote WXGA+, or 1440x900.

None of the 14 inch Dells have WSXGA+.

I think you mean WSXGA +

Anyways, WSXGA+ (1680x1050) is not an option for the Vostro 1400 and never was (from what I remember). The highest resolution option for 14 inch Dells is WXGA+ (1440x900).

I don't think it is possible to get WSXGA+ 14.1" displays, though I could be mistaken.

SXGA+ would be impossible to read on a 14.1" screen...If you want that resolution you will have to step up to at least a 15.4" screen.

I don't know that it would be impossible. There certainly are screens with higher pixel densities. SXGA+ looks fine to me on my 14" screen though it is a standard screen so it's a bit taller than a widescreen.
