Ok, quick story.
When I ordered my Vostro 1400 I specifically asked what screen would run the 1400x1050(or as close to it as possible) that my 600m ran. The rep told me the regular WXGA non TrueLife was fine for that. Needless to say, it's not. The max reso is 1280x800 which just seems huge to me.
Dell is shipping me a new laptop upon my confirmation, but I'm trying to figure out if the WXGA+ TrueLife will run the 1440x900. If so, will the Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS video card support the 1440x900? I was told by dell tech support that it might not, but they offer it as a video card choice with screens that run the 1440x900 reso. So basically will the vostro 1400 with the WXGA+ Truelife and NVidia Geforce 8400M GS vid card combo run a 1440x900 screen reso?
I tried looking for this around the boards but didnt see much on it. Thanks to anyone that can help.

WXGA+ is 1440x900, and the video card is more than capable of running in that resolution

That's what I thought, but after speaking to tech support it sort of made me think twice. The card info on nvidia's site just has that it can run 2 monitors, both at 1280x800, but nothing about single screen reso.
I'm not as knowledgable about vid cards as id like to be, but I figured tech support might know what they were talking about.
