    Hi Everyone,

Currently looking at getting one of these two laptops. The vostro config I'm thinking of is a T7500, 2GB Ram, 160gb hd, 8400m gs, bluetooth, 9 cell battery, 4yr waranty, 1440 x 900 trulife screen (without webcam) while the D630 config is basicaly the same except with a fingerprint reader :)

After doing some haggling with Dell they'll give me the Vostro 1400 for around £785 and the D630 for £865. Both prices include VAT and delivery.

I've been told that I'd have them by the 2nd/3rd week of September at the latest but after reading around on here it appears that there are some severe delays? Ideally I'd like the laptop for the end of September, so are there any models/configurations that it would be wise to avoid (I'm in the UK if you haven't already guessed!), and is the D630 worth the extra over the vostro?

Finally does anyone know how much an extra 6 cell battery for the Vostro would cost? Can't seem to find the price on the dell website.

    Thanks,

    John
