99% I'll order a Vostro 1400, it's loaded with Vista but I worry if my old Photoshop 8 CS, office, autocad 2007 etc are not compatible.

So is it alright if I install a Windows XP SP2 to it? Dell got all drivers for XP?

    thanks. :D

When I bought my 1500 the 1400 was also offered with XP so I am sure it is fine. I noticed now that the 1500 can be had with XP still but the 1400 is Vista only.

I followed that particular guide for my 1400 successfully apart from one small detail: make sure you integrate ALL AHCI/RAID drivers with nLite, not just the single one he mentions ...
