    Has any one from Europe ordered a Vostro 1500? How long did you have to wait for your laptop? I understood that they are assembled in Ireland. Mine has been stuck at the forwarding company (Schenker) for three days now.. :mad:

    with which specification did you order your laptop? Mine was only one day in preproduction. I guess they had all the components they needed for mine.

    Well it does say on the Dell site prepare for a 4 week delay when ordering, so I dunno. I JUST put an order in for mine and est arrival date is the first week of September... I think they're just waiting for stock to come in for some parts and after that they're going to be rolling at lightspeed.

    There is a massive backlog at the moment they seem to be clearing. I wouldn't be surprised if they removed the 4 week wait message in the next few weeks.

    Italy, here. Mine was shipped by UPS on the 13th, EDD is tomorrow but the laptop is stil in Limerick, according to UPS' tracking system.
    I think I can see it, in one of the trucks here. :)

    Mine went in production, building, boxing and delivering all in one day: the day I called in to cancel the order (more: it went backward in time, since when I called in the evening to know how to get a refund it had yet to pass pre-production; the day after, when I was going to call to confirm the cancellation it showed it had been delivered the morning before).

    I will name it "Delorean".

    Im waiting, today Schenker picked the box up.
    It's going to sweden so I hope it will be here soon. I got a mail from a dell support woman, and she told me EST DD was now Aug 22

    I ordered my laptop 7th of August and it has already been assembled, but it is stuck in transport..

    I just checked Dell tracking and now I can see that Schenker has picked up my order and that it is in Denmark logistic hub at the moment. It should be in Finland soon I hope. :)

    Mine was stuck in denmark like 2-3 days. But it finally departed copenhagen yesterday and arrive in oslo today!
