I have a formatted Dell Vostro 1500 with the vista installer and now it has no OS. After loading the files from the XP cd, I get BSOD. When I try installing Vista, it works completely fine. I really want to get XP on my Vostro. I have made a slipstream XP disk with the SATA drivers in order to install XP, but I can not get pass the BSOD after it loads the files from the disk. Any help?

I'm assuming that SP2 is integrated into it right? What's the exact BSOD message?

The XP disk is SP2 but in order to get SP2, I gotta do windows update. The full message of the BSOD is :

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
    these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate of disk space. If a driver is
identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check
with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video
    adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable
BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need
to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your
computer, press F8 and select Advanced Startup Options, and then
    select Safe Mode.

If SP2 is not slipstreamed into the install disc, you will BSOD. Downloading from WU later will not work.

Where can I download SP2 to slipstream into the install disk? Do I still need to slipstream the SATA drivers too? Will the final .ISO file fit onto 1 CD? Or do I have to burn a DVD?
