    Vostro 1500 - Latest BIOS?

    Hello,

    I'm having a few 1 second lag stutters while playing games or watching DVDs. What is the LASTEST bios version out? Mine is A01. Toshiba users have fixed there stutters by using a different BIOS#

    AH Ha! Of course, that's the problem! [/sarcasm off]

    Alright now that the sarcasm is off, the problem might be your bios version -"A01"!

    I don't know where you are from but in the USA dell support site, vostro never got a bios update and the version never go above A00. I believe you need to check your bios version again.

    On another thread in this forum, someone mentioned that the latest Vostro 1500 BIOS is A01, but the Dell USA site does indeed still show A00. Maybe the site is slow in updating?

    I have the Vostro 1500 which arrived on Sept.10 and it also has the A01 Bios. Dell must update their website.

    Also I thought the Vostro 1500 is identically the same as the Inspiron 1520. The 1520 already has a A03 Bios which it's released date is newer than my A01 can I update my Bios to A03?

    I wouldn't do that...

    I would ask Dell support to send you the latest BIOS. Flashing an improper BIOS will probably void your warranty if something goes wrong.
