    Hey Guys,

As the title suggests i am planning on overclocking my Vostro 1500. Here are my specs:

    I have a few questions.

    1) What is the best app to overclock

    2) What level is safe to overclock to

    and

    3) How do i do it

    Thank you so much!

    1. Use latest RivaTuner, lots of users recommend it.
    2. That's up to your laptop.
    3. Increase the clock and shader speeds incrementally then stress test them by running demanding games. If your laptop survives 1-2hours on the increased speeds without BSOD crashes, freezes or artifacts ratchet the speed up some more until the above problems occur. Then bring the speeds down to a known stable speed level above your stock clock.

I'm sure you already know this but overclocking at any level will reduce the longevity of your video card and possibly your system. Do the above at your own risk.

thanks for your help! i wasn't aware it lowers the life of my computer i thought just battery life. I guess im too much of a wimp to try overclocking out, i will make my decision if im going to when i get my computer, i will see how well it preforms.

    thanks again.
