Ive been trying to get some drivers to work for the past day now. at the moment i am using the Dell drivers for the Vostro 1500, from july 2007. I noticed that there are 1520 Drivers for the 8600m GT from 31st of October and was wondering if they would work on the Vostro 1500?

If not what are the best drivers to play Crysis on? Ive tried a few from laptopvideo2go and quite a few come up with error messages.

What is the error message they come up with? You may have forgotten to use the modded INF file. All you do is download the modded INF from the exact same page you download the driver from, then put it into the unzipped driver folder, making sure it replaces the old INF file. Otherwise most of the new drivers will not install when they detect a mobile card.

ah right, i see now. Would it be possible to get the latest Nvidia driver from their site, and use a modded INF to get that to work?

or would it be possible to use the Have Disk method to get the Nvidia drivers to work?

just looking for the best performance on Crysis

No idea. I dont think so because their drivers just come as one big file, so theres no way i know to insert a modded INF in there. The ones from laptopvideo2go are the same as the ones from the nvidia site though i think, theyre just packaged differently.

Lots of people recommend 169.04 for Crysis. Find the driver on laptopvideo2go's community forum.
