Is it possible to upgrade the DVD Writer in my Vostro 1500. I currently have a DS-8W1P and it's very choosy what type of discs it reads.

Will any notebook DVD Writer fit it, if so can you recommend any?

Does anybody know a lightscribe writer that will fit the Vostro 1500?

I bought a Sony/NEC Optiarc AD-7540 writer for me, since i missed the DVD-RAM capability in the DS-8W1P i had... works right out of the box.

There is also the Optiarc AD-7543 available, which is the same drive plus dvd print capability.
