Awright I just Spent 3+ hours reading the entire "Official guide to 1420 with XP" thread as well as one called "1420 with XP (I nerved vista)" I bought a 1500 with XP last november but it got stolen from me in Seattle  over the holidays, I'm going to buy another but this time I'm going to order it with vista and then Dual Boot it with XP Pro (which I get free from my univ.). I still have the XP recovery CD from my stolen 1500. Should I use this to install XP initally and then Upgrade to Pro afterward?
Also I've never dual booted anything before, Am I correct in assuming that vista will allow me to make a new partition? and then hopefully I can just put XP on the new Partition and select the OS every time I reboot?

Any help would be greatly appreciated -Thanks :)
