I just received my Vostro 1500 and need to buy a good Internet Security Suite. I use Windows XP OS and Outlook for e-mail.

I've narrowed it down to 3:

    1) Trend Micro Internet Security Pro
    2) Zone Alarm Suite 7.0
    3) Kaspersky Internet Secuirty 7.0

    Any suggestions?

Of the lot, I'd opt for 2 or 3.

Kaspersky is great. A full install takes up only 40Mb (!) and its fast and doesn't hog resources. I used Norton and McAfee before and they were junk compared to Kaspersky. They hogged the CPU when working and took up a nice chunk of my HDD when compared to Kaspersky.

I use avast anti virus. Avast is free, and is better than most paid anti virist programs.

I used zone alarm pro for firewall, and noscript firefox extension, which prevents ANY SPYWARE from coming throught. Ad block is another good firefox extension

I decided I don't like the Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0. I think I'll switch to ZA. The spam tool doesn't include anti phishing and I don't like all the firewall pop ups. Time to uninstall Kaspersky!

I just use Avast Anti-Virus and Windows Firewall. I tried Comodo before but it would totally crash my computer when I tried playing GG/WC3/DotA -- my PC would just halt when I attempt to play online; it's as if trying to make that alert where I can choose whether to allow or disallow connection, but I can't see the alert because I can't alt-tab away from the "hanged" game. But aside from that, Comodo was really nice -- light, effective, and of course, free! :D

I also use Ad-Aware and Windows Defender.
