    Vostro 1500 Mediadirect update problem

    I have had my Vostro 1500 for a little over a week now. I reformatted and used the directions that are posted on installing Dells Mediadirect and everything is working great.

    Only problem I am having is when I have mediadirect open in Vista and I click on "check for update", it says a update is available and gives the option to update now or to remind me later. I choose the update now option and the update appears to install correctly.
    But if I check for updates again I get notified that the same updated is available again.

    I have updated over and over again about 6 times now and everytime it appears to install correctly, but if I check again for updates it shows up again?
    Is this a problem with my laptop or is it a problem with the update software from Dell? Does anybody else see this problem?

    Yes, it was also detecting the same update over and over again in my Vostro 1500. Not anymore, I resolved the problem by uninstalling Mediadirect :D

    Just in case anybody else has the same problem. I seemed to have solved the media direct update problem by updating the Vostro 1500 bios from A04 to A05.
