Anyone ordered a Vostro 1500 lately? If you have, do you remember how long it was in the "in production" stage?

Ordered: 9/18
Shipped: 9/22
Arrived: 9/24
So to answer your question, my Vostro 1500 was in the production stage for roughly four days. -

wish this was true for my vostro 1400 x_x
-
Mines been in "pre-production" for 3 days now, is that normal?
-
That's totally normal. My Inspiron 1520 is in Pre-production since 18.09

Hmmm, I was under the impression there wasnt that much of a delay on the Vostros 1500 in the UK.
Do they let you know if there ESD/EDD is going to change? -
In theory, yes they do. I think yours will be on time if it is built until the 1st.
It seems that now there is something on the way in Limmerick, so it could be on time.
Which screen do you have? -
Vostro 1500 15.4 WXGA True Life. Its the lowest res one, can't remember what.
Its still in pre-production. How long does it take in "production" and "delivery preperation"?
-
What I read on other forums is that it should take a couple of hours!!! to be effectively built and to be given to UPS. That means that it will only spend a very short time in production and will be given to UPS at once.

My sig said it all.

The system in the Malaysian factory works that way...EU orders (built in Limmerick) are processed with a loooooong Pre-production time and a very short production time. It can happen that you just don't even see your notebook in Production, but only in Pre and when you look at it a couple of hours later it is already given to UPS.

My Vostro shipped to me in three business days...I ordered on the 5th, and it was shipped by the 7th, FedEx had it over the weekend (8 and 9) and then gave it to me on Monday the 10th.
