    Hi guy's, my Vostro 1500 just came in yesterday. How do i tell what brand screen i have? I have the regular XGA+ with truelife display and a 256mb NVIDIA graphics card. For some reason, the windows desktop background doesn't seem that vivid in the colors. Are there any setting i need to change?

    Open up the nvidia control panel (right click on your desktop). Move the sliders until you get a setting for your liking.
