    Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a Vostro 1500 with a glossy WXGA+ screen. When the screen is displaying certain colors or patterns, that section of the screen flickers. It very much resembles a CRT with a low refresh rate. It only happens with certain colors or patterns, usually shades of gray, and it's very noticeable with the default Vostro wallpaper. It does not happen on 16 bit color--only 32bit.

Is this normal? Has anyone with a Vostro experienced this?

Ah, OK. This is my first laptop, so I wasn't really sure. Thanks.
