EDIT: Sorry, ignore. It turns out speed-step was disabled the whole time and for some reason it was booting up with a 6.0x Multi, when I turned iSpeedStep on it booted with 6.0x and then upped itself to 10.0x when required... still a little weird, I thought disabling it should make it always be 10.0x

    Hi All,

I've just installed XP Pro on my Vostro 1500 with a T7250 2.0GHz (it came with Vista Business) which so far has gone suprisingly smoothly, installed most of the drivers from the Dell Driver site, device manager doesn't show any question marks/errors so everything looks OK.

However... I seem to be having one problem, according to CPU-z and RMClock the CPU is running at a 6.0x multiplier (@ ~1.2GHz) instead of 10.0x, even if I'm running something like Orthos to put 100% load to test. I tried disabling Speed-Step in the BIOS (even though I shouldn't have to) but it didn't make any difference.

Is there something else I need to install that I might have missed? I've already installed the Intel Chipset drivers... any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
