I am working on installing Xp on my vostro and I have it running but I cannot get my USB ports to work. In device manager there are question marks on "USB Root Hub" I have installed the intell chipset drivers but It still doesn't work.
Also, is there any way to force install the SATA drivers so I can enable AHIC?
    Thanks

hi, i think that i might have figured out the usb problem..

I went into device manager and uninstalled everything in the universal serial bus section by right clicking on each thing and going to uninstall

then i right clicked on the section that said universal serial bus controllers and did scan for hardware changes..

this made by usb devices work..
