Hey, sorry for starting a whole new thread, but I am in a hurry, since i will be ordering a vostro tomorrow

are there any known problems with the vostro 1500 like the battery not sitting properly( heard that there is a quite a lot of wobbling), also does it heat up a lot during heavy usage ?

I would be very grateful if you could mention any problems that you have encountered with your vostro 1500 .

Well so far base on the things I've read here there only concern regarding the vostro system is just the battery being wobbly and nothing else. There was no heat problem raised in this thread so far. I havent read all well as far as I have read no heat related problems raised yet. We might ask the other people here.

I have the 6 cell battery and it does not wobble at all. I have not experienced the battery heating up, only the system fan to the left getting warm under heavy gaming. There is also a piece on the center that heats up but not as much as the fan on the left. Even though gets warm under heavy use, it's not bad at all, very quiet under non-graphic intensive applications. This could be the best cooled laptop I've owned.

No battery wobbly here, although I do have the hissing sound card problem. As for heat, it defintly produces it, although it's not scorching hot it can get rather annoying if you have the laptop sitting on your lap.
