So it seems that you guys are using Vista, I have XP Pro.
Could it be down to the OS? And if so, are there drivers that could address that problem?
    Thx

    Hi JB,
I moved the blocks out of 1st and 2nd level cache to see the true RAM performance. So my start and end blocks are 8MB and 16MB respectively.

runs again with a better result:

    Creation Date: 29-Sep-2007 at 13:54:42
    OS version: Windows Unknown

Processor: Intel Pentium®III 1596,00 MHz Core: [06FD] Unknown

    Memory 32-bit Bandwidth: Read: 4031,77 MB/s ( 1,51 Cycles), Write: 1602,91 MB/s ( 3,79 Cycles)
    Memory 64-bit Bandwidth: Read: 4319,62 MB/s ( 2,81 Cycles), Write: 1698,00 MB/s ( 7,17 Cycles)
    Memory 128-bit Bandwidth: Read: 4616,42 MB/s ( 5,27 Cycles), Write: 1764,79 MB/s ( 13,79 Cycles)
    Memory Peak Bandwidth: 4768,45 MB/s

For true RAM result, it turned out much better than benzino's result(maybe due to Kingston vs Hyundai?):

    Very interesting results
Could you post a CPU-Z registers dump? (last tab "about" has an item "Registers Dump (.txt)"

    Mine is attached here.
