    Just got back from vacation and found my big Dell box... I'm now posting from my new Vostro 1500, I came to look for the thread with the link to the page that allows me to request an OS disk, but couldn't find it.... Anyone know where it is?

    Also, how do I change it so that IE doesn't save my search history?

    Also, is it possible to change the desktop icon smaller? How?

    Doesn't OS disk come with the laptop? I ordered my Vostro 1400 and the rep. told me that it comes with the OS disk and software/drivers disk. They better have not lied!

    Almost 99% people don't get OS disk with Vostros.

    If you can't find a link etc, just chat with a Dell Rep either online or over the phone and they'll get it to you.

    OMG! Are you serious? Well, if mine doesn't come with it, I'm going to complain so bad. Besides I also have the evidence of the chat rep. saying "yes, it does come with it".

    click on the desktop, hold the ctrl key and scroll up or down on your mouse scroll wheel to raise and lower the icon size

    tools -> delete browsing history...

    what are you doing with your laptop that you need your history cleared?... ;)

    OK, let's say I go on www.google.com and type in Windows Vista and click on search. Next time I go to google, I don't want to type in "w" and see a list of W-word searches I did... And I don't want to have to clear the history everyday.
