    Vostro 1500 usb speed

    Well I tested 2 external hard drives with hdtune.

    One is a 2.5" 5400 RPM and the other is a 3.5" 7200 RPM

    On my new vostro they reach 14-15 mbps.

    When I connect them to my 3 year old laptop they get 22+ mbps.

    Why?

    i get ~24-25 from what i have seen on my pc with my 250gb 7.2k external. i havnt used hd tune just what pops up and shows the transfer rate.
