Hey guys,
Im having trouble with my vostro 1500. I have the Dell 1390 WLAN Wireless Card. I fiddled with the Dell quickset before and my card was messing up for a bit. Eventually, the wi-fi catcher wouldn't work so I manually had to turn on and off the card in the quickset. Now, nothing works. It says the card is enabled, but when it comes time to connect to a network, it says the card is disabled. I don't know what to do. In device manager it says device is working properly, but it obviously isn't.
Should I re-install quickset or update the WLAN card drivers? I'm lost as to what to do. It sucks to have this new computer and this card not working.

By any chance, are you hooked up to a battery? I know Quickset used to disable networking if you are running on a battery by default. I had a whole bunch of issues with Quickset twriking with wireless settings on Dell Latitude D430/D630 laptops at work. Ever after checking the box that should enable network settings regardless of power option, it still disabled them. After that, first thing I do is uninstall Quickset on any Dell machine.
If you go the re-installation route for quickset, try to uninstall it and see if your wireless works without it. Unless you use Quickset for any other purpose, keep it uninstalled. -
I uninstalled it and nothing is working still. This is really annoying. Any other ideas?
