    Vostro 1500. Not working WiFi Led (light)

    WiFi works, but not working only WiFi Led (light), which is located on the left about WIRELESS SWITCH. Why?

    Hmm. Are you running on battery? Check Dell Quickset to see if it turned off your wireless card.

    No, it's only purpose is to tell you if there is a network near you before having to power on the laptop.

    Your WIFI light is actually to the right of the keyboard below the battery and above the Bluetooth indicators. It is BLUE and says WIFI. It does not blink.

    The light on the left side of the notebook is a WIFI Catcher. It does not light unless the notebook is off. Slide the swith to the right all the way and hold it while the notebook is off. if there is a wifi signal near you it will light up briefly. When you release the button the switch returns to its normal middle position.

    Boot your notebook. If you are connected to an access point you will see the BLUE WIFI light. If not open your network connection manager and see if there are any netorks in range.
