Hello,
I'm looking to get this laptop but I'm unsure as to some of the customisable options:
Is it worth upgrading from 160GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive to 160GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive with Free Fall Sensor?
Also, I presume the Dell Wireless 360 Bluetooth® Module (XP) is internal, is it, and is it worth getting it?
Finally, is the intergrated 1.3mp webcam worth getting?
Thanks a lot, need to decide by tomorrow to get the perks of free shipping and £50 off!

Hey Rubiak,
What is the cost of upgrading to the faster HD? I purchased mine for $110 (USD) on ebay, if that helps. All I'm getting at is that you would probably be able to upgrade your hard-drive much more cheaply if you did it on your own...then you might able to sell your old one, or get a 2.5" Sata external case and use the old as a backup HD. -
£40 to upgrade to the faster hd.
Any ideas about the bluetooth module and integrated webcam as stated above? -
Yes the bluetooth is internal. You shouldn't be asking us if their worth it, ask yourself if you will be using those things or not.
If you do use them, then yes their worth to get over an external dongle or webcam. -
I was talking more about the quality of these products, rather than just getting them.

Both webcam and bluetooth are good quality on my Vostro 1500. I assume it will be similar quality, if not better, on 1510. Regarding their usefulness, I would highly recommend including them as internal peripherals in your initial order. Webcam is very useful for videoconferencing, communication with Skype, Messenger, etc. I use bluetooth everyday with my mouse; it is much more convenient than plugging a wireless adapter to USB. You can find many other uses for bluetooth since it is a general purpose wireless communication device. Adding these peripherals later will be more expensive, difficult, and incovenient. Just my 2c
Vostro 1510
